Babrik Shah’s Take on Zee Khan & Laila’s Marriage

Tamasha is Pakistan’s biggest reality show which has so far aired four seasons. Season 5 of Tamasha has just began airing on ARY Digital. The reality show is based on the Big Brother and Bigg Boss formats. The owners have also acquired the rights from the official franchise. Tamasha started airing in 2022, and ARY Digital has remained quite consistent with yearly seasons ever since. Last year, Saif Ali Khan emerged as the fourth Tamasha winner. This year, 18 contestants appeared on the show, with popular figures like Babrik Shah, Laila, Zee Khan, and Samiya Hijab being part of the lineup. This season has been making waves for its over-the-top and hyped-up start, with almost all the popular contestants getting involved in intense fights.

In Episode 5, Dr. Zee Khan expressed his interest in film star Laila and shared his wish to marry her, which Babrik Shah did not approve of, as he has known Laila for a long time. He further explained his take on Zee Khan’s marriage proposal to Laila.

Talking to Adnan Siddiqui, he said, “When I entered the room, he was dressing up and told me, in his usual style, that he wanted to marry Laila. I just replied to him that Laila isn’t the shaadi type. She has lived a life full of struggles, and I don’t think she will marry. First, ask her properly; maybe she doesn’t want it and you’re just saying it on your behalf. He argued that she was a star, to which I said there wasn’t any issue with her being a star. The real thing is her stance on marriage. She had time to recover when her parents were alive, and she could have settled down. One can have an intuition about the future. You get insurance, you buy property, and you make deals that benefit your family but she did not choose that path. Otherwise, she is my respected colleague. I didn’t want to talk about her personal things here, nor did I want to hurt her. I have also faced many tragedies in my life. The biggest grief was burying my father. I even buried my little son; no grief is bigger than burying your child. I have made myself stronger. I don’t even cry in isolation. She has the leverage to cry in front of everyone.” Watch here:
