Michael Carrick has given an update on Marcus Rashford’s place at Manchester United, with the England international set to face his former boss Ruben Amorim.
United face AC Milan in their final pre-season friendly on Saturday, with Rashford potentially able to take a small bit of revenge against the man who dropped him in the first place.
The English winger was sent out on loan to Barcelona, having a successful spell in Spain, with Carrick taking over at United in due course.
Rashford has since been told he is in his new boss’s plans following United’s 1-1 draw with Leeds.
Giving an update on Rashford’s role, Carrick said: “He’s our player. He’s come back great.
“He’s just like any other player. He gives us something a little bit different.”
Rashford did not play against Leeds and is likely to feature against Amorim’s AC Milan, who have not won so far in pre-season.
The Italian side have drawn to both Celtic and Inter Milan before being taken apart by Chelsea 3-0.

Saturday could prove to be a sweet moment of revenge for Rashford as he looks to rebuild his Manchester United career.
The Red Devils had a fantastic second half of the season in their last campaign, finishing in third and qualifying for the Champions League.
United have been busy in the transfer window, bringing in two marquee midfield signings.
Andrey Santos has moved from Chelsea for a fee of around £50million, while Youri Tielemans has joined from Aston Villa for £35m.

Carrick has used the pre-season period to experiment with his side’s striking power, including moving Bryan Mbeumo to a No9 position.
The Cameroon international has impressed in the role, with plenty of options in the three-forward roles behind him, in the conventional 4-2-3-1 Carrick likes to deploy.
Yesterday saw Amad Diallo, Joshua Zirkzee and Patrick Dorgu all feature, being replaced gradually in the second half by Tynan Thompson, Matheus Cunha and Jack Fletcher.

Bruno Fernandes also came on and will be the No8 option once again for the Red Devils, who will need depth this season with European football.
United still have the firepower of Benjamin Sesko in their ranks and Mason Mount, who picked up an injury in pre-season.
The Red Devils kick off their Premier League campaign away at newly-promoted Hull City before facing Ipswich Town and Everton in a favourable start for Carrick’s side.
