Nine to stream City2Surf live nationwide on 9Now for the first time since 2019
Nine has announced a partnership with The IRONMAN Group to bring the Voltaren City2Surf to viewers across Australia, with the iconic fun run to stream live and free on a dedicated 9Now pop-up channel.
The broadcast marks the first time the event has been televised since 2019, with coverage set to showcase the 2026 edition of the race as 90,000 participants take on the 14-kilometre course from Hyde Park in Sydney’s CBD to Bondi Beach.

Coverage begins at 7.00am AEST, ahead of the first wave of runners starting at 7.35am, and will include the women’s and men’s elite races. Cameras will be positioned at the start and finish lines, on motorcycles, and at key locations including Rose Bay and Heartbreak Hill.
The stream will also feature interviews and insights from celebrities, charity runners and elite athletes taking part in the event.
The commentary team will be led by radio presenters Liam Flanagan and Tammy Barker, with running expert Matty Abel providing analysis of the elite competition.
Reporting from the course, radio announcer Lyndal Rogers will be based at the Hyde Park start line, while Pete Murray, a 13-time IRONMAN triathlete and the Australian voice of IRONMAN, will cover the finish line at Bondi Beach.
The 2026 event is the 56th running of the City2Surf, which remains the world’s largest fun run according to the organisers.
