KC Concepcion gets positive injury update after training camp scare

After exiting Monday’s edition of the Cleveland Browns’ training camp with a potentially concerning shoulder injury, KC Concepcion received some good news that should ease fans’ minds.

Taking to social media to provide an update on the 2026 first-round pick, Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz revealed that Concepcion is expected to be okay, as he didn’t suffer a serious injury on the play.

“Sources: Browns rookie WR KC Concepcion, who left practice today with a shoulder injury after a hard fall, did not suffer anything serious, and the team is expecting him to be fine,” Schultz wrote. “The 1st-round pick has had a strong start to training camp.”

Widely considered one of the best wide receiver prospects in the 2026 NFL Draft class, with an ability to make serious plays with the ball in his hands, landing Concepcion in the first round at pick No. 24 was viewed as a major win for Cleveland, giving them a quality young wide receiver to build around alongside fellow first-round pick Spencer Fano.

With one of the NFL’s few true quarterback competitions shaking out in Cleveland, Todd Monkin will be evaluating the play of Shedeur Sanders, Deshaun Watson, Dillon Gabriel, and rookie Tyler Green to decide on who will start this fall. Fortunately, because Concepcion didn’t suffer anything serious, his play should help to give Monkin a better picture of what his offense could look like this fall alongside other premium offensive players like Quinshon Judkins, Jerry Jeudy, and Harold Fannin Jr., and give Browns fans a reason to get excited about the 2026 season.
