Looks like the doors to the Dederang Hotel will be reopening for TV audiences, with Shane Jacobson confirming Ooops! I Bought a Pub is officially returning for a second season.
After revealing the news on social media over the weekend, Jacobson said the response to the series had been overwhelming, with viewers calling for more and cameras set to return to the Victorian pub in the coming months.
Jacobson shared the announcement in a video filmed at the Dederang Hotel, thanking patrons and viewers for their support since the pub reopened and for embracing the Channel 7 series when it premiered earlier this year.

The actor and pub owner said the response to the original series had exceeded expectations, with many viewers asking whether the show would return for another chapter.
Jacobson said viewers had made it clear they wanted another season.
“We’ve been overwhelmed with people saying they want more. They wish the TV show would come back or we do series two… we’ve heard ya.”
Jacobson also joked that anyone dropping into the Dederang Hotel over the coming months shouldn’t be alarmed by lights, cameras or calls of “action“, promising it would remain “the same pub” with the same staff, food, beer and locals while filming gets underway.
The six-part series aired on Saturday nights on Seven and 7plus after premiering in May, becoming another addition to the broadcaster’s slate of locally produced lifestyle programming.
Jacobson is also set to front Seven’s new quiz format Caught in the Middle, expected to premiere later this year.
Catch up on Season 1 of Ooops! I Bought a Pub on 7plus now.
