The Boston Police Department is requesting public assistance in the search for a missing 84-year-old man.
James Clarke, of Roxbury, was reported missing Sunday. Clarke was last seen leaving his residence on Hawthorne Street at around 1 p.m. Saturday, according to a BPD statement.
Police describe Clarke as a Black male, 5 foot 11 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds. Clarke was last seen wearing a black hat and a blue flannel shirt. Clarke suffers from dementia and may be walking with a limp, police said.
Clarke is known to frequent Nubian Square, Ruggles Station, Stop and Shop locations, and various MBTA routes and bus stops, police said.
The BPD is actively working to locate Clarke and encourages anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to call 911 or contact District B-2 detectives at 617-343-4275.
