Stan unveils first look at SCRUBLANDS: TRUST and new cast

A decade old secret is about to catch up with Martin and Mandy, with fresh faces joining the next chapter of Scrublands as cameras roll on the hit Australian crime drama’s return.

Stan has unveiled the first look at Scrublands: Trust, confirming Lincoln Younes and Danielle Cormack have joined returning stars Luke Arnold and Bella Heathcote for the third season, now filming across Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

Based on Chris Hammer’s bestselling novel Trust, the third season adapts the next instalment in the Martin Scarsden series, following Scrublands and Silver.

Arnold and Heathcote reprise their roles as investigative reporter Martin Scarsden and Mandy Bond, whose lives are thrown into turmoil when the discovery of Mandy’s former fiancé, Tom Molloy, reopens a decade old mystery surrounding the theft of $15 million.

As Martin investigates the apparent suicide of his longtime mentor Max Fuller, he uncovers a dangerous conspiracy stretching from Sydney’s back streets to the Blue Mountains, where corrupt developers, hired killers and powerful figures stand between him and the truth.

Younes stars as Tom Molloy, while Cormack joins the ensemble alongside returning cast members Sarah Roberts and Nicholas Bell.

Michael Healy, Executive Director of Entertainment at Nine Entertainment, said the success of the first two seasons highlighted the demand for Australian crime dramas, with the latest instalment bringing another compelling story from Chris Hammer’s novels to the screen.

“The incredible response to the first two seasons of Scrublands indicates a massive appetite for premium Australian crime drama, and we’re thrilled to bring audiences another gripping season.”

Produced by Easy Tiger, Scrublands: Trust is directed by Lisa Matthews and written and produced by Felicity Packard.

The production is supported by Screen NSW through the Made in NSW TV Drama Fund, while Sphere Abacus will again oversee international distribution.
