A road accident in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur has claimed the life of a young child while the scooter rider has been severely injured. The incident, caught on CCTV, occurred on Sunday morning on Bilaspur Smart Road near Sanjeevani Hospital. A speeding Kia Carnival rammed into an Activa scooter and subsequently crashed into a school bus. The child on the scooter succumbed to injuries at the SIMT Hospital. Preliminary police investigation suggests the car was being driven by a minor, though official verification of the driver’s age is ongoing. The police have detained four occupants of the car and seized the vehicle.
