A Golden Grove couple have had a weekend they will never forget, after a recent change to their long-standing Lotto numbers delivered a life-changing $1.8 million Saturday X Lotto win.
The Adelaide husband and wife held one of the 11 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday X Lotto draw 4687 on Saturday June 20, 2026, with each division one winner taking home $1,818,181.82.
When an official from The Lott called the winning pair, they were only just waking up after finally getting some much-needed rest following more than 24 sleepless hours.
“Good morning! We just got out of bed,” she said.
“I didn’t sleep all weekend. I was up for 24 hours straight. I felt like a zombie all day Sunday.
“We just can’t believe it. It’s completely life-altering. I was just saying to my husband, ‘How can a piece of paper be so life-changing?’. It’s scary!
“I’ve been playing the lotteries forever. I only just changed my numbers a couple of months ago. I changed them to include the great grandchildren’s birthdays and some other special dates.”
With $1.8 million heading their way, the couple said they would use the prize to pay off bills, help their family, and finally take a long-awaited holiday to Darwin.
“We’ll pay off some bills and of course we’ll help the kids,” she said.
“My husband and I have never been to Darwin, but we’ve always wanted to do it, so we’ll definitely have a trip there.
“For now, we’ll go have a cup of tea to celebrate!”
Their winning marked 18-game entry was purchased from The Grove Newsagency, Shops 28B-28C, Golden Grove Village Shop, Golden Grove.
The winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 4687 on June 20, 2026 were 22, 14, 6, 21, 9 and 3, while the supplementary numbers were 38 and 20.
Across Australia, there were 11 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4687, with four in New South Wales, three in Western Australia, two in Victoria, and one each in Queensland and South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 188 so far this calendar year, including 17 won by SA Lotteries customers.
There are more chances to win big this week, with Tuesday’s Oz Lotto offering $20 million, while Thursday’s Powerball has $40 million up for grabs.
