Brisbane Roar sign German winger Marko Ilic on two-year deal

Brisbane Roar have strengthened their squad ahead of the 2026-27 Isuzu UTE A-League season, announcing the signing of German attacker Marko Ilic on a two-year deal.

The 27-year-old winger arrives in Brisbane after an impressive campaign with German 3. Liga outfit TSV Havelse, where he established himself as a key figure within the side.

Predominantly deployed as a left winger, Ilic featured in all 38 league matches for TSV Havelse during the 2025-26 campaign, accumulating more than 2,400 minutes while contributing six goals and five assists.

Capable of playing across the front line, the German attacker will add versatility to Michael Valkanis’ squad as they look to build on last season’s 11th placed finish.

“Marko is exactly the kind of attacker we’ve been targeting,” said Roar Sporting Director James Gow.

“He is direct, hard-working, and constantly looking to hurt teams in the final third.

“He’s developed in a competitive German environment and is ready to bring that intensity to the A-League. We’re thrilled to have Marko in orange.”

The club are expected to do plenty of business in the coming weeks following an off-season which has so far seen them part ways with 17 players.

The German will wear the No.11 shirt at Brisbane Roar.
