Set against the timeless grandeur of Taj Falaknuma Palace, this Hyderabad wedding, designed and planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Aakar Events unfolded as a celebration rooted in warmth, emotion, and meaningful connection. With just 60 to 70 guests travelling from across the world to witness the couple’s union, the focus remained on creating an experience that felt personal rather than performative.
“The couple was very clear that they wanted the wedding to feel effortless, intimate, and emotionally connected,” shares Anoop Singh from Aakar Events. “Every decision, from the flow of the functions to the styling language, was centred around making guests feel truly included in the celebrations.”
From the outset, the team at Aakar Events approached the wedding as a carefully curated journey instead of a series of standalone functions. Every touchpoint, from hospitality flow and seating planning to artist coordination and ceremony management, was designed to feel seamless and thoughtfully paced. Rather than relying on extravagant décor moments, the celebrations embraced soft florals, understated styling, and intimate settings that beautifully complemented the palace’s architectural charm.
The celebrations began with an elegant Welcome Dinner at the Jade Ballroom, envisioned as a relaxed evening where guests could settle in and reconnect. A formal sit-down dinner with personalised seating arrangements created an atmosphere that felt warm and conversational. Staying true to the couple’s vision, the décor remained restrained, with subtle florals, delicate detailing, and a soft cake-cutting backdrop adding just enough visual depth without detracting from the intimacy of the evening. Conversations lingered over dinner as music and togetherness naturally became the heart of the celebration.
For the Mehendi at the Rajasthani Lawn, the mood shifted into a vibrant yet refined daytime gathering layered with interactive experiences. Since many guests were experiencing an Indian wedding up close for the first time, the afternoon was thoughtfully curated to feel immersive and engaging. Bangle-making stations, lawn games, guest photo books, and canvas bag printing experiences brought a playful energy to the celebration. Instead of a conventional bridal stage, the bride opted for a comfortable lounge-style seating area where she could remain surrounded by her closest friends and family throughout the festivities. Printed polo tents, draped fabrics, fresh blooms, and warm, festive hues subtly drew from Rajasthani aesthetics while still maintaining the understated elegance that defined the wedding.
The Seemant Pooja at the Coronation Hall brought an emotional and traditional pause to the celebrations. Keeping the focus on the sanctity of the Maharashtrian ritual, the setup remained graceful and minimal with marigold accents, brass details, floral bowls, and soft ceremonial elements lending warmth to the space. “The beauty of intimate weddings lies in allowing emotions and traditions to breathe naturally,” says Anoop Singh. “For this ceremony especially, we wanted the styling to quietly support the rituals instead of overpowering them.”
One of the most memorable evenings unfolded at the Darbar Hall, where the couple replaced a conventional high-energy sangeet with a soulful Sufi-inspired dinner experience. Live Sufi performances, heartfelt speeches, and thoughtfully coordinated dining experiences transformed the evening into an intimate gathering filled with shared stories, laughter, and emotion. Every guest had designated seating, allowing the evening to feel deeply personal and carefully hosted. Styling remained soft and understated, allowing the music and emotional resonance of the evening to take centre stage.
The wedding ceremony itself took place at the Poolside Lawn during the early hours of the morning, following traditional Maharashtrian rituals and muhurat timings. Through the night, the planning team worked meticulously to coordinate ceremony logistics, guest movement, ritual arrangements, and vendor execution in preparation for the 7 AM wedding. The mandap was adorned with cascading rajnigandha strands, floral torans, brass urlis, Tamil lamps, and fresh blooms, creating a setting that felt serene, spiritual, and timeless.
