Woman attacks passenger on plane, diverted to Logan Airport

A woman allegedly attacked a passenger aboard a flight that was diverted to Boston Logan International Airport Thursday morning, police said.

The flight was traveling from San Francisco to Munich around 8 a.m. when troopers were notified of a disturbance, a spokesperson for the State Police told Boston.com.

The woman was handcuffed to her seat after reportedly attacking another passenger, prompting the plane to divert to Logan Airport, according to police.

Police said it remains unclear whether anyone was injured.

Authorities have not released the identities of those involved or said whether any charges have been filed.

The incident remains under investigation.
