“We hope they add a little extra enjoyment to every journey while showcasing the many experiences that make Boston and Massachusetts such a remarkable place to visit and explore,” MBTA General Manager and CEO Phillip Eng said in an announcement from the agency Tuesday.

The MBTA designed three souvenir CharlieCards that feature photos of the Boston Public Library, South Station, or the USS Constitution, the T said.

As of Tuesday, decorative CharlieCards have been stocked in the Park Street, Downtown Crossing, and Forest Hills transit fare machines, the T said.

Getting a commemorative CharlieCard is not guaranteed, as cards are sporadic.

“It’s a little ‘luck of the draw,’ which is part of the fun,” an MBTA spokesperson told Boston.com.

More than a dozen T stations will receive the collectible cards within the next week, the MBTA said.
