An Adelaide family syndicate is officially one million dollars richer after scoring division one in Monday night’s Weekday Windfall draw 4707.
The eight-member syndicate, led by a woman from Mawson Lakes, held one of just three division one winning entries nationally in the draw, which was held on Monday, May 25th.
The family only discovered their major win the following day, after the syndicate leader noticed several missed calls from The Lott following her early morning shift.
“We’re really happy!” she said. “There’s eight of us sharing the $1 million prize! Every week we play together and purchase a ticket into the Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday draws.
“I saw I had a few missed calls from The Lott after I finished my early morning shift, and I was wondering to myself what was going on! I was in so much shock when I first looked at it. It will make a huge difference in each of our lives.”
For the Mawson Lakes winner and her husband, who also holds a share in the syndicate, the prize money is already earmarked for a major life milestone.
“My husband also has a share into the syndicate so we’ll put it towards a house deposit,” she shared. “It’s all very exciting and extra special that we’ve won it with family.”
The winning ticket was a System 9 entry purchased through The Lott app.
The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4707 were 19, 44, 5, 22, 33 and 2, with supplementary numbers 4 and 27.
Across Australia, three division one entries took home the top prize in Monday’s draw, with winning tickets sold in South Australia, New South Wales and Western Australia.
The latest win adds to a strong year for lottery prizes nationally, with The Lott reporting 373 division one wins so far this financial year.
And for anyone feeling inspired by the Adelaide family’s lucky streak, there are still plenty of jackpots up for grabs this week, including a $20 million Oz Lotto draw and a massive $60 million Powerball jackpot later this week.
