Sanam Saeed is one of the biggest stars in the country. She is also very intelligent and her words hold merit. She has never shied away from expressing her opinions and she says what she is feeling with grace and dignity. She has also always supported women and her opinions have helped put important points forward.
Women’s rights in Pakistan is a movement which has not progressed with the speed which was needed for it. It was important for women who are not given the right to education and inheritance, who are killed in the name of honour and who are not given equal wages, that these rights came to them. But it has now become a controversial topic with people debating posters on Aurat March rather than any real change.
Sanam Saeed spoke about bringing changes for women and bringing them more rights in the workplace on Something Haute. She said that communication is the key and one should put their point forward without using the Woman Card. Do not demand something with the notion that I am a woman, rather speak about how this is a right and work towards it.
