Melbourne Victory have confirmed Head Coach Arthur Diles will leave the club following the conclusion of his contract.

Diles joined Melbourne Victory ahead of the 2023-24 Isuzu UTE A-League season as an Assistant Coach to now Socceroos boss Tony Popovic.

The 44-year-old then served as an assistant to Patrick Kisnorbo before being appointed to the senior head coaching position following Kisnorbo’s departure in December 2024.

Despite being a rookie Head Coach, Diles still guided Melbourne Victory to the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League final before then steering his side to this year’s Elimination Finals.

“I would personally like to thank Arthur for his efforts across the past three seasons, especially recognising his service as Head Coach,” said Melbourne Victory Chairman, John Dovaston.

“We feel now is an appropriate time to make this change, viewing this juncture as an opportunity for the Club to continue to evolve and build for success both today and tomorrow.”

The 44-year-old led Victory in 50 Isuzu UTE A-League matches, a tenure that included successive top-six ladder placings.

“Arthur assumed the Head Coach role in the face of difficult circumstances and a tough climate, but has always fulfilled his duties with the utmost professionalism,” added Melbourne Victory Managing Director, Caroline Carnegie.
