Man’s throat slashed in bus station altercation

The victim was taken to a local hospital with a non-life threatening neck injury, police said.

A man slashed another man’s throat at a Roxbury T stop Friday night after the two men got into an argument, police said.

The alleged assault took place at the MBTA Nubian Square bus station at around 8:06 p.m. following a verbal argument between two men, the MBTA Transit Police told Boston.com.

The argument escalated when one of the men wielded an object and used it to slash the other man in the neck, police said. 

MBTA Transit Police do not know exactly what sort of weapon was used to attack the victim, the agency said.

The injured man located Transit Police officers — who were already in the station — and was given immediate aid while EMS was called, police said.

Boston EMS took the victim to a nearby hospital with a non-life threatening neck wound, police said. 

Transit Police did not respond to a request for comment Monday evening regarding if police had arrested the alleged attacker.

T police are is actively investigating the incident, they said.
