A trust from Reading, Massachusetts claimed a $10 million grand prize from a lottery ticket purchased at a supermarket’s self-service terminal, the Massachusetts State Lottery announced.
Rock Solid Trust, represented by trustee Joshua Garick, chose the cash option and received a one-time payment of $6.5 million, before taxes.
The ticket was purchased from a lottery self-service terminal at a Stop & Shop in Dorchester. The supermarket, located at 545 Freeport St., will receive a $50,000 bonus for the ticket sale, lottery officials said.
Garick told lottery officials the winner plans to invest and take care of their family with the prize.
One more prize from the “$10,000,000 Instant Millions” game remains in circulation, according to the lottery.
