Shabab Al Ahli held in six-goal draw

Shabab Al Ahli needed a stoppage-time goal from Sardar Azmoun to avoid defeat against Khorfakkan in the UAE Pro League.

The round 23 match at Rashid Stadium ended 3-3 after a game that shifted several times and left the home side chasing late on.

Yuri Cesar gave Shabab Al Ahli the lead after 14 minutes, but Khorfakkan turned the match around before half-time.

Elton Felipe equalised in the 34th minute before an own goal by Matheus Lima three minutes later put the visitors 2-1 ahead.

Shabab Al Ahli responded quickly after the break, with Cesar scoring his second in the 48th minute.

Khorfakkan were not done. Ahmed Jashk restored their lead in the 59th minute, giving the visitors a real chance of an away win against the league’s second-placed side.

Azmoun then struck in the 96th minute to make it 3-3 and rescue a point for Shabab Al Ahli.

The result moved Shabab Al Ahli to 53 points and kept them second in the table. Khorfakkan moved to 25 points and remained eighth.
