Hooray…weddings bells are in the air!
A future life with my loved one to share.
But deep down I have worries I can’t hide
Is she just a ‘gold digger’ my future bride?
Is she after my money…my pension pot!
She takes about my pension an awful lot!
‘Who gets it’ she asks when I am dead.
Oh, I’m 30 years older, I should have said!
Having a joint bank account, she will insist!
In fact that’s top of her wedding present list!
On my pension day, she always calls me.
To make sure I’m still alive…the reason be!
Then I’ll get a text, never saying ‘I love you’
Just ‘when is your next pension rise due’?
She asks about how much a month I earn.
So, do you think I have causes for concern?
Will I just become her human cash machine?
Or will we really both make the perfect team?
It’s pension day today, we spoke on the phone.
No talk about love….she just asked for a loan!
