Sheikh Mohamed and BlackRock CEO Discuss AI and Global Markets
President Sheikh Mohamed met with Larry Fink, Chairman and Chief Executive of BlackRock, on Wednesday. Talks focused on developments in global markets with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence and advanced technology, according to state news agency WAM.
The meeting reflects the UAE’s continued commitment to building strong relationships with leading global financial and technology institutions.
Elon Musk Praises UAE’s AI Direction
President Sheikh Mohamed also received a phone call from Elon Musk. The two discussed advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and space, stressing the importance of adopting innovative solutions and making the most of opportunities presented by emerging technology.
Musk praised the UAE for its progressive stance on AI investment and expressed hope that the country would continue on that path.
Regional and International Diplomacy
Sheikh Mohamed also held a call with King Mohammed VI of Morocco. The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and deepen cooperation, reaffirming their shared commitment to regional stability, maritime security, and the global economy.
Earlier in the week, Sheikh Mohamed received President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone, who was on a working visit to the UAE. Their discussions covered the economy, trade, investment, renewable energy, and sustainability, highlighting the UAE’s growing partnerships across the African continent.
