Additional details for their appearances at both Kodansha House and Anime Expo will be announced at a later date. Moreover, Anime Expo attendees will be able to unlock “special benefits” at Kodansha House with their convention badges, with more details to be announced.

Kodansha is also partnering again with Kinokuniya USA as its official retail partner for the Los Angeles event. Announcements on exclusive merchandise that are available for purchase at Kodansha House and Kinokuniya bookstores will be revealed in the future.

Kodansha House’s inaugural event took place in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood in October 2024. It returned for a second iteration in October 2025 and hosted manga artists Atsushi Ohkubo (Fire Force, Soul Eater), Fujita (Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku), and Suu Morishita (A Sign of Affection).

In a previous interview with Anime Trending, Kodansha USA President and CEO Alvin Lu stated that the idea for Kodansha House was “designed with the idea in mind that it could be replicated elsewhere.”
