Seven is adding more heart to its new renovation format, with busy parents Nathan and Julia revealed as the third team set to take on two rundown suburban homes, bringing family stakes into the competition.
Hosted by Dr Chris Brown and judged by Neale Whitaker, Simon Cohen and Julia Green, the format sees four teams compete, with Adrian Portelli putting up two fully renovated, multi million dollar homes to be won.

Adrian Portelli is a self‑made billionaire and he’s about to do something he’s never done before: give away two spectacularly renovated, multi‑million‑dollar homes to two lucky Australian families on My Reno Rules, coming soon to Seven and 7plus.
Young parents and keen renovators Nathan and Julia, both 34, are driven to secure a bright future for their three young daughters. They hope that sacrificing family time and missing milestones will all be worth it if they can take home the win.

Julia says it would be a “total gamechanger” if they won the competition. “We’d be able to wipe out our most of our debt, which would instantly take a huge weight off our shoulders. It would let me spend less time working three jobs and more time with my beautiful babies.”
An electrician by trade, Nathan defers to stay-at-home mum Julia on the build site, as she has learnt most trades on their previous projects.

Julia is determined, ambitious and while perhaps a little bossy: “I’m not always right, but I’m never wrong.” She will be very comfortable calling the shots in this ultra-competitive couple, ready to take on whatever’s thrown at them.

To win, the contestants must impress the My Reno Rules judges: style icon Neale Whitaker (The Block and Love It or List It), top buyer’s agent Simon Cohen (Dream Home, Luxe Listings Sydney), and Julia Green, founder of Greenhouse Interiors: a leading destination for boutique homewares, fine art and interior styling services.
It’s not just the contestants who walk away winners. In a must‑watch television event, the live grand final will see two lucky Australian families receive a life‑changing call telling them they have each won a renovated, fully furnished, fully landscaped, state‑of‑the‑art home.
