The Dragon Ball Xenoverse fighting game/RPG series is getting a third installment, which will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam in 2027 and features a future setting dubbed AGE 1000.

An announcement trailer introduces Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3‘s depiction of West City and some of the cast. Expect the game to have original characters conceived by the late Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, as well as returning faces.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 will see players being part of the Great Saiyan Squad. The Steam page says that players will able to “Explore the bustling city, encounter characters, and uncover exciting new stories,” and experience “intense battles and extensive character customization options.” Dimps Corporation is the developer.

For Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, which launched back in 2016 (a year after the first game), publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed the fourth and last chapter of the Future Saga DLC. The DLC will be released in summer 2026 and “brings the long-running story to a dramatic close, reflecting on everything players have fought to protect history, timelines, and the future itself.”

Prior to its proper unveiling, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 was referred to with the project name AGE 1000 and already had a 2027 launch date attached. The project was announced at the Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri event in January of this year.
