My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON, Re:ZERO Season 3, The Apothecary Diaries Season 2, and many more series have won in several key genre categories at the 12th Anime Trending Awards.
A grand total of 11 categories were presented at this year’s Anime Trending Awards, featuring a diverse set of genres such as music, mystery, science fiction, and sports, as well as popular entries such as action/adventure, comedy, and slice of life. Each genre category also had a different anime win among its respective nominees.
Here is a look at the final results:
Action or Adventure Anime of the Year

My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON, which serves as the conclusion of the long-running shonen anime title, took home the Action or Adventure Anime of the Year with a total of 4,035 votes, edging out popular series such as DAN DA DAN Season 2, which placed second with 3,826 votes, and GACHIAKUTA, which ended up in third place with 3,686 votes.
The first season of the spinoff series, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, also ranked in 11th place with 1,931 votes.
Comedy Anime of the Year
SPY x FAMILY Season 3 — 4,530 votes

The third season of SPY X FAMILY was voted as the Comedy Anime of the Year with a total of 4,530 votes out of 10 nominated series. It beat other comedy anime, such as The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really REALLY Love You Season 2, which ranked sixth with 2,004 votes, and Grand Blue Dreaming Season 2, which placed third with 2,982 votes. My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 ended up in second place with 3,623 votes.
Drama Anime of the Year

Takopi’s Original Sin took home the Drama Anime of the Year with 4,251 votes in a tight race with The Apothecary Diaries Season 2, placing second with 4,119 votes, and Umamusume: Cinderella Gray placing third with 3,262 votes.
Fantasy Anime of the Year

Season three of Re:ZERO won the Fantasy Anime of the Year with 4,141 total votes in another tightly contested category. Secrets of the Silent Witch placed second with 3,877 votes, while GACHIAKUTA settled for third place with 3,591 votes.
Mystery or Psychological Anime of the Year

The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 was awarded the Mystery or Psychological Anime of the Year with 4,409 votes, topping Takopi’s Original Sin, which placed a close second with 4,103 votes. Re:ZERO Season 3 ended up in third place with 3,811 votes.
Other notable anime series, such as Call of the Night Season 2 and The Summer Hikaru Died placed fourth and fifth respectively, with 2,730 votes for the former and 2,194 votes for the latter.
Music Anime of the Year

Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty won the Music Anime of the Year, which is the second smallest category at this year’s Anime Trending Awards, containing only six nominees. The series placed first with 4,683 votes, beating out Ave Mujica – The Die is Cast –, which settled for second place with 3,992 votes.
Romance Anime of the Year

The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity reigned supreme as the Romance Anime of the Year in a competitive category. The series garnered a total of 4,926 votes.
It beat other popular romance anime titles such as My Dress-Up Darling Season 2, which placed second with 4,593 votes, Blue Box, which ranked third with 3,301 votes, and My Happy Marriage Season 2, which placed fourth with 2,191 votes.
Sci-Fi or Mecha Anime of the Year

The fourth season of Dr. STONE was honored as the Sci-Fi or Mecha Anime of the Year, amassing a total of 4,270 votes. It beat out DAN DA DAN Season 2, which placed a close second with 4,083 votes and KAIJU No. 8 Season 2, which ranked in third place with 3,240 votes.
Slice-of-Life Anime of the Year

Although it didn’t win Romance Anime of the Year, My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 made up for it by being awarded the Slice-of-Life Anime of the Year with 4,619 votes. It topped WITCH WATCH, which ranked second with 4,030 votes, and SPY X FAMILY Season 3, which placed third with 3,769 votes.
Sports Anime of the Year

Umamusume: Cinderella Gray was the clear winner as the Sports Anime of the Year, easily topping the other five nominees with a total of 5,659 votes — the most of any of the genre categories this year.
Blue Box was ranked second with 5,000 votes, while the first season of Medalist settled for third with 4,057 votes.
Supernatural Anime of the Year

The second season of DAN DA DAN was voted as the Supernatural Anime of the Year with a total of 4,290 votes. It beat out other anime series in the category such as Call of the Night Season 2, which ranked second with 3,568 votes, The Summer Hikaru Died, which ended up in third place with 3,334 votes, and Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 2, which placed fourth with 2,736 votes.
