The Premier League trophy has landed in Australia and fans turned out in force to see the famous silverware up close.
Thousands of supporters gathered in Sydney yesterday to see the famous silverware up close as Arsenal legend Theo Walcott helped launch Stan Sport’s Premier League Trophy Tour Down Under.
The Sydney leg wrapped with a Football Fan Fest at Metcalfe Park, where fans were able to take photos with the trophy and meet Walcott as part of a celebration of the English competition.

The event also featured a live recording of Stan Sport’s football show Added Time, with appearances from Mark Bosnich, Adam Peacock and Craig Foster.

The tour began earlier in the week at Taronga Zoo, where Walcott and the trophy were welcomed in front of some of Australia’s most recognisable wildlife in a unique launch event overlooking Sydney Harbour.
Walcott also visited local club Manly Vale FC after the side won a grassroots competition, hosting a coaching clinic with hundreds of junior players.
The former Arsenal forward even experienced Australian sport firsthand, attending the Sydney Roosters v South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL derby before being invited into the Roosters dressing room after the match to address the team and pose with the trophy.
Stan Marketing Director Michelle Chandran said the fan response showed how strongly the Premier League continues to connect with Australian audiences.
“Our goal was to bring a global competition to life in local communities across Australia, and the response has blown us away.”

Walcott said the energy from local supporters had stood out during his visit to Sydney.
“Seeing the passion for the game here in Sydney has been nothing short of incredible.”

In Australia, every match of the Premier League is available to stream live and on demand on Stan Sport.
