Kayo Sports and Foxtel have secured a new multi-year Formula 1 broadcast extension, ensuring Australian subscribers retain comprehensive access to every session of the championship.
Kayo Sports and Foxtel will remain the Australian home of Formula 1 under a new multi-year broadcast extension that will commence in 2027.
The agreement, struck with Fox Sports Australia, guarantees subscribers continued access to every race, qualifying session and practice session of the championship.

Races will continue to be shown live and in 4K, alongside additional live feeds and minis content. Coverage will be available across both streaming and set-top box platforms.
The new deal extends a partnership that has seen the Foxtel Group broadcast the sport for more than a decade, with the company positioning the renewal as part of its broader motorsport strategy.
As part of the new Foxtel rights extension, Channel 10 will remain as the free-to-air broadcaster for the Australian Grand Prix. The Melbourne event is protected under Federal Government’s legislation.
The renewal comes as Formula 1 prepares for significant changes this year, including new regulations, teams, engine providers, drivers and race destinations.
TV Blackbox can confirm the F1 TV app will continue to be integrated into Foxtel set-top boxes and the broadcaster will also be offering alternative commentary options for select races throughout the 2026 seeason.
Alongside the rights extension, Kayo Sports and Foxtel has confirmed the launch of a new dedicated weekly motorsport program, expanding the established 360 franchise into motor racing.

The new one-hour show will join AFL 360 and NRL 360, extending the format into a motorsport-focused panel program. It will deliver weekly analysis and discussion across Formula 1, Supercars, MotoGP and other featured categories within the network’s portfolio.
Each episode will feature a rotating panel of drivers and experts, offering analysis, insights and debate, with the broadcaster also confirming the show will include vertical digital extensions. The new show is set to premiere next week.
Foxtel Group CEO Patrick Delany announced the new partnership extension with Formula 1 at a Melbourne media event on Tuesday evening stating;
“Kayo SPORTS is Australia’s sport leader with the best live sport, and our Formula 1 extension further cements our position as the premier destination for both local and international motorsport.

The 2026 Formula 1 season begins with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne from 6–8 March, available to Kayo Sports and Foxtel sport subscribers, with Network 10 continuing as the free-to-air partner for the Australian Grand Prix.
