Australia-based Alpha Sports Group has decided to partner with OZ Group, the owners of the newly introduced Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Sialkot Stallionz.
As part of the partnership, Alpha Sports Group has acquired a 75 percent stake in the Sialkot Stallionz franchise. The agreement was finalized following the PSL team auction held on January 8.
Alpha Sports Group is Australia’s largest wholesale distributor of sports medicine, physiotherapy, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and first aid products.
Through this partnership, Alpha Sports Group and OZ Group will jointly focus on the franchise’s overall growth, team formation, and performance improvement.
Following the announcement, Alpha Sports Group expressed its excitement about the collaboration, stating that both partners aim to develop Sialkot Stallionz into a strong and competitive team in the Pakistan Super League.
Both Alpha Sports Group and OZ Group are based in Australia and hold prominent positions in the sports management and investment sectors. The partnership is being described as a positive and welcome development for the upcoming PSL seasons, generating fresh excitement among Sialkot Stallionz fans.
The development comes just weeks after Sialkot Stallionz were officially introduced as one of the two new franchises ahead of PSL 11.
The team’s ownership rights were acquired by OZ Developers, owned by Hamza Majeed and Kamil Khan, during the historic PSL 2026 auction held at the Jinnah Convention Centre on January 8.
OZ Developers secured the franchise with a record bid of Rs 1.85 billion, making it the most expensive franchise purchase in PSL history.
The eighth team of the Pakistan Super League, PSL 11, is scheduled to begin on March 26 and will be played across five venues in the country.
