Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s new neighbours beg for him to be exiled, worry there’s ‘more to come’

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor appears to be receiving anything but a warm welcome in Sandringham following his forced exit from the Royal Lodge.

The disgraced ex-prince’s new neighbours have reportedly argued he “should exile himself”.

Formerly the Duke of York, Andrew was stripped off his princely title on October 30, 2025 after fresh revelations of his connection to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein were aired in Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir.

Last week, under the cover of darkness, Andrew fled the 30-bedroom Royal Lodge on the Windsor Estate for the isolation of the Sandringham Estate.

Speaking with those living nearby in King’s Lynn, the nearest town, The Mirror revealed that the community feel Andrew should isolate himself.

“We love Sandringham, we don’t care who’s there, but I think my best thought is that he should exile himself, and put us all out of our misery,” a local identified as Angela said.

Another resident, identified as Shanna, said there is nothing that can be done about Andrew’s arrival.

“I’m not sure. I don’t really particularly like the things he’s done, so I’m not very happy about it, to be honest,” Shanna said.

“But you can’t stop it, can you? You just have to get on with it, and hopefully he moves somewhere else.”

Business owners are questioning how they should act if the disgraced prince tried to enter their premises.

Cole, the owner of a hair salon, said if Andrew showed up he would be turned back around.

“I think someone like Andrew should be locked up, and justice should be served.”

Despite the contempt for Andrew, locals have expressed worry and sympathy for the other members of the royal family caught up in the scandal.

Tony, a taxi driver, said it wasn’t the family’s fault.

“It’s not the family’s fault. The only thing they can do now is to send him to an island on his own and keep away from him. I think it’s time we left Charlie and William and the family alone.

“They can’t be responsible for what Andrew’s done. But I think he’ll get his comeuppance, and that there will be more to come.”
