Logan Paul made his feelings about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance abundantly clear on Sunday, delivering a one-word dismissal when asked if he was looking forward to the event.
Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny secured the coveted half-time slot back in September, but the reception to the appointment has been far from unanimous excitement.
President Donald Trump, who won’t be in attendance on Sunday night, questioned the decision, while his Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, also publicly condemned the appointment.
In fact, President Trump labelled Bad Bunny a “terrible choice” for the prestigious slot, claiming he did not know who the performer was when the selection was announced.

They and many others in the Trump administration have taken exception to Bad Bunny’s public criticism of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) and its operations across the United States.
So when Mr Paul was asked by Fox News if he was excited to watch Bad Bunny perform, the WWE star made his stance clear.
“No,” Mr Paul replied curtly before walking away without elaboration.
His younger sibling, Jake, has echoed the family’s opposition with an even more forceful intervention, calling on viewers to switch off entirely.

Jake urged his followers to stage a mass boycott of the halftime entertainment.
“Turn off this halftime,” the younger Paul brother wrote on social media. “A fake American citizen performing who publicly hates America. I cannot support that.”
He framed the protest as a demonstration of consumer power against major corporations, arguing that viewers could force consequences by denying them ratings.
“Let’s rally together and show big corporations they can’t just do whatever they want without consequences,” the boxer declared, adding: “You are their benefit. Realize you have power.”

The youngest Paul brother’s intervention came just one day after he had publicly criticised singer Billie Eilish and voiced his support for Ice officers.
Much of the recent backlash against Bad Bunny stems from his politically charged acceptance speech at the Grammy Awards earlier this month, where he won album of the year for a record performed entirely in Spanish.
“Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say, Ice out,” the Puerto Rican star declared from the stage. “We’re not savages, we’re not animals, we are humans, and we are Americans.”
The 31-year-old artist has been a persistent critic of the Trump administration’s immigration policies, having previously refused to bring his tour to mainland American venues over fears that enforcement officers might target his Spanish-speaking fans.

The NFL has stood firmly behind its choice of halftime performer, with Commissioner Roger Goodell telling reporters this week that Bad Bunny ranks among “the great artists in the world.”
Mr Goodell expressed confidence that the musician understood the league’s platform was intended “to unite people and be able to bring people together.”

However, conservative organisation Turning Point USA has arranged an alternative broadcast to run simultaneously with Bad Bunny’s performance.
The rival event, dubbed the All-American halftime show, will feature Trump ally Kid Rock alongside country artists Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett.
