Pakistan Super League (PSL) newcomers Hyderabad have confirmed their first set of retained players ahead of PSL 11, as franchises finalize early squad pieces before the February 11 player auction.
The debutants announced the signing of Saim Ayub for Rs. 12.6 crore in Platinum category, Usman Khan for Rs. 4.62 crore in the Diamond category, Maaz Sadaqat for Rs. 3.5 crore in Emerging Player category, and Akif Javed for Rs. 1.96 crore in the Gold category
The retention update came shortly after Hyderabad revealed Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne as their direct signing, adding a major international name to their lineup ahead of the auction. However, the franchise did not disclose the salary brackets or financial details for any of the five announced players.

Hyderabad are now set to take things a step further with a formal brand reveal. The franchise is expected to unveil its official team name and logo at an event scheduled for February 7 at 6:00 PM at Niaz Stadium, with the announcement shared via Kingsmen Cricket’s social media along with promotional material for the ceremony.
Beyond player signings, Hyderabad have also moved quickly to build a strong support staff for their first PSL campaign. The franchise has assembled an international coaching group led by Jason Gillespie as head coach, with Grant Bradburn appointed fielding coach and Craig White named assistant coach. Hanif Malik will serve as batting coach, while Zac Martin will handle strength and conditioning duties.
With retentions locked in, a direct signing confirmed, and a full coaching setup in place, Hyderabad appear to be positioning themselves as one of the most active teams heading into the PSL 11 auction.
