Apple may introduce the iPhone 17e later this month, according to a report from Macwelt citing industry sources. The publication said the device is expected to be announced through a press release on February 19.
The timeline would align with Apple’s previous launch pattern, as the company introduced the iPhone 16e in February last year.
Design and Display Details
A separate report from Mac Otakara, also citing sources, said the iPhone 17e will retain a design similar to its predecessor.
The report said the device will continue to use a notch, rather than adopting the Dynamic Island feature that appears on other recent iPhone models.
Hardware and Connectivity Upgrades
According to Macwelt, the iPhone 17e will support MagSafe and offer wireless charging speeds of up to 25 watts.
Mac Otakara reported that the phone will be powered by Apple’s A19 chipset. It is also expected to include the second-generation Apple C1X modem and the N1 wireless network chip.
Other specifications are said to remain similar to those of the iPhone 16e.
Related iPad Report
The report also included details about an upcoming Apple tablet. According to the publication, the next iPad 12 will use the A18 chip instead of the A19 processor, which had been mentioned in earlier rumors.
