Fashion weeks are always a mecca for those with impeccable street style – but few are as coveted and as indicative of the future fashion zeitgeist as Copenhagen Fashion Week. Mood boards everywhere are ready to be added to, as we peruse the ever-stylish Scandi fashion crowd, flitting between GANNI shows and Pandora collections, Cecilie Bahnsen runways and Nicklas Skovgaard presentations.
This week marks the start of the Copenhagen Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2026 season, which includes an exciting schedule of Danish designers to watch and establish fashion Houses. And while the January snow is still fresh on the streets, the outfits on Day One are already stoking the heat.

Never ones to shy away from colour or a delightfully clashing print, this season’s street style felt exactly as joyful and imaginative as you’d hope. Think oversized leather bomber jackets shrugged on with total nonchalance, pillbox hats perched just so, sweeping long skirts, and flashes of lace peeking out where you least expect them. Faux fur was everywhere too – especially Penny Lane-style jackets trimmed to perfection – often teamed with boldly patterned trousers, layered over cargos, or finished off with slouchy, scrunched-up leather boots.
Shoes kept things grounded and refreshingly practical: sturdy riding boots, polished loafers, a surprising number of yellow Onitsuka Tiger sneakers (yes, those Kill Bill ones), and plenty of sharply pointed toes clicking across icy pavements.
Colour palettes leaned mostly neutral – browns, blacks, creams, and greys – but always with a wink of something bright to keep things lively. Maybe it was a red cowboy boot flashing beneath an oversized trouser hem, or yellow-tinted sunglasses bringing a brown leather bomber and tartan skirt to life. And layering? Absolutely everywhere. Partly because it’s cold, partly because Scandinavians have made layering an art form. Honestly, no one does it quite like the Danes. Multiple jackets at once, hoodies stacked with surgical precision, sheer skirts floating over jeans – it’s masterful, and the internet has been quick to take notes.
Yet beneath all that playful styling runs a streak of pure practicality. Snow-ready footwear, roomy bags, extra knits casually looped around shoulders “just in case.” Handbags were a highlight too: Bottega Veneta’s intrecciato styles – especially the mighty Andiamo and the ever-useful Jodie – were out in force, alongside beautifully worn-in vintage CHANEL flap bags in rich, textured leathers.
