Another day of Premier League action is in the books, and it delivered a few surprise results.
Saturday began in style with the Manchester derby at Old Trafford, where Manchester United beat Manchester City 2-0 to get Michael Carrick’s second spell as interim manager off to a winning start and deliver a huge blow to their neighbors’ title hopes.
Then, under new boss Liam Rosenior, Chelsea took down Brentford 2-0. But in another surprise result, Liverpool were unable to claim all three points at Anfield against newly promoted Burnley, drawing 1-1.
Finally, to finish the day off, Nottingham Forest were steadfast in denying league leaders Arsenal a nine-point advantage at the top of the table with a 0-0 draw.
