Two people were killed and six others were injured in a shooting Saturday at a festival celebrating Latino culture in Toronto, police said.

Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while five others suffered gunshot wounds and another was hospitalized with unspecified other injuries following the gunfire in the area of St. Claire Avenue and Arlington Avenue during the Salsa on St. Clair festival, Toronto police said.
Police said at least one gunman was “still outstanding.”

The shooting was reported just before 8:15 p.m. ET, police in the Canadian city said. As of 9:20 p.m., police had secured the scene and were investigating.
Salsa on St. Clair is a two-day festival celebrating Latino culture with music, dance food and art. It started Saturday and was set to run through Sunday on Toronto’s St. Clair Avenue.
