The Disney animated film sequel earned $156 million domestically in its five-day opening weekend and more than $556 million globally.
It’s now the highest global animated film opening of all time, according to Deadline. It’s also the highest global opening for any animated film in Disney history.

“Zootopia 2” is now playing in theaters and On The Red Carpet is celebrating with a special episode taking you inside the making of the new film and to the world premiere with the all-star cast!
For the rest of the weekend box office, “Wicked: For Good” easily took second place with $62 million.
It’s almost a copy and paste from last year, when “Wicked” and another animated Disney sequel, “Moana 2,” drew big audiences to theaters on Thanksgiving weekend.
“Now You See Me: Now You Don’t” took the number three spot with $7 million in its third weekend.
