The Zeikin de Katta Hon manga is inspiring a TV anime adaptation. A live-action drama adaptation was also announced.

The Kodansha-published manga, written by Zuino and drawn by Kei Keiyama, features a delinquent called Ishidaira who visits a library for the first time since primary school. The visit sparks a series of events that lead to Ishidaira becoming an employee at the library.
Zeikin de Katta Hon is serialized in Weekly Young Magazine and has 18 volumes as of February 2026. It debuted on Young Magazine Web in August 2021. In September of that same year, it was announced that the manga would transfer to Young Magazine, beginning with the combined second and third issue of 2022 that was released in December 2021.
