Pakistani midfielder Tauqeer Ul Hassan has joined Hoandedhdhoo Council FC in the Maldives on a short-term loan from SA Gardens FC.
The 21-year-old central midfielder has been developing his game at SA Gardens FC in Lahore. Founded in 2020, SA Gardens FC has rapidly grown as a competitive side in domestic tournaments, including finishing as runners-up in the 2023–24 National Football Challenge Cup.
The club is known for nurturing young talent and providing opportunities for players to gain experience abroad through loan deals.
Hoandedhdhoo Council FC, located in the South Huvadhu Atoll of the Maldives, competes in the Atoll Championship, a regional competition that feeds into the country’s higher-tier football leagues.
Along with Tauqeer, two other Pakistani players have joined Hoandedhdhoo on short-term loan deals. Adeel Younas, a young forward known for his versatility in attack, has also moved to the Maldives to gain match experience in a new footballing environment.
Ali Uzair Mahmood, a midfielder with previous experience at clubs such as WAPDA and POPO FC, has been added to provide further stability and quality in the midfield.
For Tauqeer and his compatriots, the move provides valuable exposure and a chance to develop their skills. At the same time, Hoandedhdhoo Council FC benefits from the addition of technically skilled players to compete more effectively in the Atoll Championship.
