Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi K90 Max will launch on April 21 at 7:00 PM.
The device is being positioned as a gaming-focused flagship, with emphasis on speed, responsiveness, and extended gameplay sessions.
E-Sports Touchscreen Technology
The Redmi K90 Max introduces a new e-sports touchscreen system.
It supports a 480Hz multi-finger touch reporting rate and a 3500Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, aimed at delivering near-instant response to touch inputs in fast-paced games.
The device also includes a 400Hz six-axis gyroscope to improve motion control.
Xiaomi said the display has been tested for up to 1 million continuous touches, highlighting durability alongside performance.
Display and Gaming Experience
The phone features a 6.83-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3500 nits.
It is capable of running games at native 165FPS while maintaining HD graphics quality. Xiaomi confirmed support for this in titles such as Delta Force.
Cooling and Durability
The Redmi K90 Max includes a built-in cooling fan, marking a first for Xiaomi smartphones.
The cooling system uses a sealed air duct and metal structure to manage heat during long gaming sessions.
The device carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. It has also undergone a 50,000-hour aging test.
Xiaomi said the cooling fan is designed for long-term use, backed by a six-year warranty and lifetime maintenance support.
Positioning Against Competitors
Compared to other gaming smartphones, which typically offer touch sampling rates between 720Hz and 2000Hz, the Redmi K90 Max combines a higher instantaneous sampling rate with advanced gyroscope performance.
While competitors such as ASUS ROG and iQOO emphasize triggers and high refresh rate displays, Xiaomi is focusing on touch accuracy and responsiveness for competitive gaming.
