WIT STUDIO Produces Music Video for Agents of the Four Seasons OP “Petals”

A WIT STUDIO-produced music video for Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring opening song “Petals” has been released on artist Orangestar‘s YouTube channel.

The music video, which sees a woman reflecting on her past and features a spring motif, was directed by Yutaro Kubo and Satomi Maiya. The duo, who are both visual developers and image board artists for Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring and previously directed The Girl from the Other Side (the short and the film), also storyboarded and unit directed the animation.

Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring begin airing on March 28 at 24:00 JST (effectively March 29 at 12;00 JST) and is streaming on platforms like Crunchyroll, Bilibili, and iQIYI. The anime is based on the Agents of the Four Seasons light novel series written by Kana Akatsuki (Violet Evergarden) and illustrated by Suoh and shares its subtitle with the light novels’ first, two-parter volume. Crunchyroll describes the synopsis as such:

When the Agent of Spring, Hinagiku Kayo, is abducted, spring itself vanishes—plunging the world into unending winter. Refusing to give up, her devoted guard, Sakura Himedaka, searches for her for years. When Hinagiku suddenly returns, the two set out to restore the lost season, face the past that tore them apart, and reclaim the warmth they refuse to lose again.

The light novels, which are published under KADOKAWA’s Dengeki Bunko label/imprint, began in 2021 and number eight volumes (two-parters included) as of December 2024. There is also a Hakusensha-published manga by Nappa Komatsuda and a spin-off manga.. Yen Press publishes the light novels in English.
