Disney+ is gearing up for a dramatic dose of real world adventure as National Geographic’s new seven part series Pole to Pole with Will Smith lands next month.
Five years in the making, the global production sends Smith from Antarctica to the Arctic in a 100 day challenge that spans icefields, jungles, deserts and open ocean.
The series follows the actor across all seven continents, teaming with scientists, explorers and local experts as he navigates extreme environments and dives into big questions about resilience and the future of the planet.

Across the journey he skis to the South Pole, extracts venom from a giant tarantula in the Amazon, joins the San people on a desert hunt, scales Himalayan peaks and attempts a dangerous dive beneath the North Pole ice sheet.
Told with the cinematic scope and access typical of National Geographic, the project blends science, cultural insight and large scale exploration.
It also marks Smith’s third collaboration with the brand, following One Strange Rock and Welcome to Earth.
Produced by Westbrook Studios, Nutopia and Protozoa.
Pole to Pole with Will Smith premieres January 14 on Disney+ in Australia.
