Unleashed earlier this year from Dark Machine Games and our partner label, DreadXP, White Knuckle is a first-person speed climbing game where players must ascend various obstacles as quickly as they can or face falling to certain death. And today, a trailer has been announced for a new holiday-themed update dubbed The Chimney.
It’s the holiday season for SUB-STRUCTURE 17. In White Knuckle: The Chimney, players will attempt to escape the subterranean compound by climbing a seemingly endless chimney full of sudden obstacles, obnoxious birds and a rocking-out Santa. Through momentum-based movement mechanics and careful inventory management, it’s climb or die to the tune of a winter wonderland.
Watch the Festive Trailer
Watching this trailer, does anyone else feel like we’re experiencing the POV of Phoebe Cates’ dad in Gremlins before he, you know, ruined Christmas forever? Just me? Either way, for you fans of White Knuckle and/or speed-climbing games, The Chimney looks to be the perfect way to ring in the holidays.
Along with the festive mode, the update will also include a range of additions such as new items, mechanics, and cosmetics.
White Knuckle: The Chimney arrives from DreadXP on Steam tomorrow, December 16th.
