Oakbank Easter Racing | Apr 4 – 6
Easter is just around the corner, and if you’re looking for something fun to do with the girls, a group of friends or even the family, there’s an Adelaide Hills tradition you should add to your list.
The Oakbank Easter Racing Carnival reaches a huge milestone this year, celebrating 150 years of racing at one of the state’s most iconic country racecourses. This historic event has long been a highlight on the Hills Easter calendar, attracting thousands of attendees from across the state for a weekend that’s as much about community as it is about racing.

Oliver’s Taranga Easter Weekend | Apr 4 – 6
This Easter weekend, Oliver’s Taranga Cellar Door is open. Known for being one of McLaren Vale’s most inviting experiences, the cellar door tasting is set in a beautifully restored stone cottage that opens up onto a modern deck with stunning vineyard views.
You can choose from two tasting experiences, ‘Taste of Taranga’ or the ‘Icons of the Vale’, both of which are paired with locally made bread and award-winning olive oil. Platter snacks are available too.
The Taranga Terroir Tour is also available, and it takes you aboard ‘Ollie’ the golf buggy for vineyard tastings among the vines, blending rich family history, warm hospitality and standout regional wines.
