The Central Coast Mariners have today confirmed that Head Coach Warren Moon will depart the club at the end of the 2025/26 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
Moon was appointed interim Head Coach shortly before the 2025/26 campaign begun and was appointed to the role for the remained of the season in early January.
The 43-year-old will stay in charge to try and guide the Mariners into the Isuzu UTE A-League Finals Series, before returning home to Brisbane for family reasons at season’s end.
“We’d like to thank Warren for his contribution to the Central Coast Mariners over the past season,” Mariners Sporting Director Matt Simon said on the club website.
“Warren has sacrificed a lot to be living and working on the Coast away from his family, and we fully support his decision to return home and prioritise his family.”
“He, along with the playing group and staff, remain committed to finishing the season strongly, and we look forward to having our members and fans there to push the team on as we fight for a top six place.”

Moon said it had been a privilege to lead the Mariners.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Central Coast Mariners,” he said on the club website.
“I want to thank the squad, the club staff, and the entire Central Coast community for welcoming me with open arms.
“I’m proud of what we’ve been building here and I have no doubt the future is bright for this great club.”
The news comes as Moon prepares the Mariners for their final home match of the regular season against Brisbane Roar tomorrow night at 7.35pm AEST.
The fixture is also set to be a celebration of league legend Andrew Redmayne’s 300th Isuzu UTE A-League appearance.
Moon will also lead Central Coast in away matches against Auckland and Newcastle Jets as the team push for a finals berth.
