Bandai Namco Filmworks has revealed the newest key visual, trailer, and main theme songs for the upcoming Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2. The second season is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan in April 2026.

The new trailer spotlights the opening theme song “BELIEVERS” by ASH DA HERO and ending theme song “Reachlight” by Shiyui.
An English-subtitled version of the trailer was also released.
The anime’s opening theme is also available to pre-add on music streaming platforms, ahead of its release on April 13, 2026.
Tatsuya Yoshihara (previously director for Season 1) is serving as chief director for the anime’s second season, with Hideaki Nakano (new, Devils’ Line) as director, Sayaka Ono (reprising) as character designer and chief animation director, and Yuki Hayashi (reprising) as music composer. BN Pictures and ACTAS (both returning, but with reversed credit order) are handling the animation production.

The first season of Wistoria: Wand and Sword premiered in July 2024 and ended in September 2024. It ran for one cour containing 12 total episodes.
The adventure fantasy manga series is written by Danmachi author Fujino Omori and illustrated by Toshi Aoi. It began serialization in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine on December 9, 2020. Fourteen tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of November 2025, with a 15th volume set to be released on April 9, 2026. Kodansha USA licensed the manga for English release in 2021.

Crunchyroll streamed the first season of Wistoria: Wand and Sword in select countries and territories worldwide, and will do so again for the second season. It describes the main premise of the first season as:
A hard-working boy named Will enters a magic academy in hopes of becoming a great sorcerer. Unfortunately, there’s a fatal flaw in his plan: he lacks the ability to use magic.
