VSPO! Confirms Settlement Over Defamatory Illustration Case, Pledges Continued Protection of Talent

The VTuber agency VSPO! has reached a settlement with an individual who repeatedly created and distributed unauthorized explicit imagery of its affiliated talent, securing a damages agreement of at least 10 million yen (approximately US$67,000). According to the official statement released by the agency, the individual had distributed and monetized the illustrations across multiple platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), Pixiv, Discord, and Patreon.

Following an investigation by the organization’s Anti-Defamation Countermeasures Committee, the person was identified, and legal action was pursued. Under the settlement terms, the individual agreed to delete all infringing content and refrain from any future defamatory conduct or copyright violations involving VSPO! talent. The agreement stipulates compensation of at least 10 million yen; however, if 4 million yen is paid promptly and all compliance conditions are met, the remaining balance may be waived.

The organization emphasized that the creation, publication, or sale of explicit derivative works of its talent is strictly prohibited under its guidelines. Management reiterated its zero-tolerance stance toward harassment, defamation, and unauthorized commercial exploitation.

In addition to this case, VSPO! confirmed that it is actively addressing multiple similar matters. The Anti-Defamation Countermeasures Committee is continuing to pursue damage claims and, where necessary, court proceedings, including potential criminal measures.

The group expressed gratitude to supporters and reaffirmed its commitment to protecting its talent and fostering a safe, respectful community environment.
