As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, VIT-AP University extended a financial support of ₹47 lakh towards the building of a new Public Grievances Redressal System (PGRS) building and a mini-conference hall at the Guntur district police office. Founder and Chancellor of VIT educational institutions G. Viswanathan inaugurated the new buildings on Thursday (March 26, 2026) in the presence of the District Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal and other officials.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Jindal highlighted Dr. Viswanathan’s contributions to education and appreciated VIT institutions for delivering quality education nationwide.

The SP said the new facility would address the long-standing need of complainants who previously had to wait under tents or trees due to lack of proper infrastructure. “The new facility will enable visitors to submit grievances in a comfortable and organised environment,” he said. The mini conference hall, he said, would enhance media interactions by providing improved seating and space for briefings.
