On January 13, Sanrio announced the dates and artists for Sanrio Virtual Festival 2026. The festival is set to run from February 8 to March 8, 2026, and will be held at the Virtual Sanrio Puroland.
During the Sanrio Virtual Festival, there will be performances from popular Sanrio characters such as Kurom and the boys from Fragaria Memories. Alongside the Sanrio characters, there will also be performances from a range of artists such as VTubers, virtual idols, and real-life artists.

In order for fans to participate in the event, a VRChat account is required. While some parts of Virtual Sanrio Puroland are free, tickets are required to participate in the event.
Tickets for the Sanrio Virtual Festival are currently on sale and can be bought at the official website. Ticket prices vary depending on the type of ticket. Standard tickets, which include access to the artists’ performances, are 8,800 JPY, while Standard Plus Tickets cost 12,100 JPY, which not only includes the artists’ performances but also a month pass to Virtual Sanrio Puroland for the month during the festival. The Standard Light Ticket only includes artists that are compatible with Quest and Android. More information can be found on their official website.
Virtual Sanrio Puroland is a virtual theme park of Japan’s Sanrio Puroland. It was created by Sanrio Company, Ltd. It opened on December 11, 2025. The official website describes it as: “It’s a virtual theme park that anyone can access from anywhere, 24/7 any day of the year! It’s an ever-evolving theme park where everyone around the world can “get along together.” ♫
Sanrio Virtual Festival is Sanrio’s annual virtual music festival in Virtual Sanrio Puroland. It first started in 2021 and has hosted five virtual music festivals. The official website of Sanrio Virtual Festival 2026 describes the current festival as:
