Tripwire Interactive is keeping up with the Killing Floor 3 goodies, launching the second season of content for the co-op shooter with “Operation: Breakout”. Available now on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series, the new content takes Nightfall Operatives deep into the jungles of Costa Rica, where an unseen enemy has escaped its former imprisonment.
Along with introducing the stealthy Stalker Zed to the game and the new map, Prison, operatives get some backup with the addition of fan-favorite, DJ Scully, joining as a playable specialist and a deadly new primary weapon, the KV Recluse SMG. The seasonal update also includes a new Supply Pass with 100 levels of free and paid cosmetic rewards, new daily challenges, weekly mutators and ongoing work to address bugs, performance optimizations, and quality-of-life feedback.
And to celebrate the release of “Operation: Breakout”, Tripwire has announced a sale on Steam featuring a 33% off discount on all three editions of the game.
Here’s the breakdown of what’s included:
- Narrative Missions – ‘Operation: Breakout’: With Dr. Emmanuel Moorcroft’s threat intensifying beyond Nightfall’s capabilities, Cordelia decides to expand their ranks, sending the team to Horzine Blacksite to find a veteran of the original outbreak, but their efforts are soon thwarted by Moorcroft. After rescuing the mercenary, Nightfall must scramble to block Moorcroft’s alarming consolidation of power.
- Players will take on ten new missions taking place across the new Prison and familiar maps. Completing all ten missions will unlock exclusive player cards, character skins, weapon stickers, and XP Rewards.
