The ‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess Season 2 opening animation, a fun and peppy sequence which frames the cast as the ones filming it, has been released on SHOPRO’s YouTube channel sans credits.
Yuki Kamiya (Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 “Shibuya Incident Arc” opening, Chainsaw Man Ending 3 and 8) storyboarded and unit directed the sequence in the real world. Kamiya is also credited with “2D,” compositing, and editing.
The opening song is ILLIT‘s “Sunday Morning.”
SHOPRO also uploaded the ending animation, which features bright colors and charming illustrations from an minami. Toya Aono was the unit director and production assistant for this, while the storyboards and costume designs were done by Xiexie Inu. The song is Yuika‘s “Ojosama ni wa Narenai.”
‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess Season 2 premiered on January 12 and is being streamed by Crunchyroll and the Ani-One Asia YouTube channel. It is based on the Shueisha-published gag manga written by Robinson Haruhara and illustrated by Hirakei, which began serialization in Shonen Jump+ in 2019 and released its 19th and final volume this month.
